By Matt Gurney, Associated PressThe billboard that appeared to predict the death of the President of the United States, Bob Hope, was erected by a company in Orange County, Calif., and was installed by a local company.

A spokesman for the company, The California Outdoor Advertising Association, said the billboard is not affiliated with the association.

The billboard was paid for by a group called Friends of Bob Hope who said it was installed in the Orange County town of Laguna Beach, Calif.

The billboard reads: “A bunny’s best friend.

A friend to the president, a friend to all Americans.”

The president’s wife, Rosalynn, is the creator of the billboard and the family also owns The Hollywood Reporter magazine.

The president is expected to return to Los Angeles in the coming days to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which is awarded annually to someone who has served in the White House.
