When you’re feeling lazy, you shouldn’t be running.
Lil Wayne’s new billboard in Chicago’s North Side is a stark reminder that not all of us are created equal.
It’s a billboard for the album ‘Paint It Black,’ which is also called ‘Pixies’ and is set to be released on Friday.
“It’s not about how many albums I’ve put out, it’s just how many songs I’ve made,” he told Billboard in a video interview.
If you’re a fan of Lil Wayne, it should be no surprise that the rapper has been spending his time and money on billboard billboards.
In 2015, he took a shot at Drake, calling the rapper a “poster boy” for the label.
He then responded to the criticism by saying he wasn’t worried about the backlash.
“I don’t think Drake is a poster boy for the labels, I think Drake’s got his own problems.
I think he’s just got to focus on what he can control,” he said.
Now that Lil Wayne has his own billboard, the rapper is showing his support for his fellow rapper and music industry pioneer.
And for good reason.
After the release of ‘Painted Black,’ the rapper was featured on the cover of Billboard magazine, alongside fellow artists such as Rihanna and Beyonce.
With Lil Wayne doing his part to fight for change, it seems he’s not just getting his message out.
